John for Model Number Whirlpool LBR5133AWO When the machine is agitating, I can lightly grab on to one of the bottom fins and stop the agitator from moving. Once I let go it starts moving again. Do I need the complete agitator assembly or something that is under the agitator assembly? I can not tell from the exploded view what the agitator assembly connects to.
Answer Hello John. If you can stop the bottom of the agitator, you need to remove it and see if the splines are stripped out. If not, the transmission is bad and will need to be replaced.
