Attila for Model Number 10652603100 Hi I have this Kenmore Fridge and the freezer was working an the fridge wasn't. I replaced the defrost thermostat which was bad. Now the Damper door always closes like after 10-15 min and does not open . What do you suggest to replace the damper door or maybe the thermistor? I check the motor in the Damper has continuity the thermistor has on and off. Or maybe I need to change both. I just don't want to put in a new damper and if its that not the problem can I still return it?
Answer Hello Attila. The thermistor should read ohms, not continuity. If there is power to the damper motor, and it does not stay open, you will need to replace the damper assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
