Joel for Model Number 106.55616400 I purchased the replacement damper, but the replacement damper is not exactly the same as the original. It would seem I have to cut the Styrofoam apart and shave it down and then reglue it together in order to get the diffuser locking tabs to snap in. There must be a service bulletin which addresses this issue as others must have certainly had the same issue.
Answer Hello Joel. You do not have to cut anything. You must press hard on the damper to lock in the tabs. They have added a thicker piece of foam to help with sealing it off and ice buildup. It will snap into place but is very hard to press. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 25, 2017
