Jeff for Model Number ED5JHEXTB00 I replaced the temperature control and the defrost TS on my refrigerator as it was getting too warm intermittently. It seemed to be working better for a week. Now I see that the icemaker chute and under the maker is getting frost And then I noticed ice forming on the refrigerator side of the air damper. I used a hair drier to melt all the ice last night but today I see it reformed. And it seems like the freezer is getting too cold now even set at a warmer setting as a test. I haven't tested that the damnper is operating exactly the way it should but I will try that out.
Answer Jeff, it would be recommended that the refrigerator door gasket 2159083 is inspected for an air leak. It would also be recommended that the dispenser chute door WP2180353 and brackets W10823377 are inspected for an air leak or broken bracket. Frost normally occurs when moisture is allowed to enter into the unit from the outside atmosphere. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 4, 2020
