Answer Hello Frank. Check and see if the lid switch WP22003804 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. If so, it will cause the problem you are having. It should read closed with the lid closed and open with the lid open. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
