Art J. for Model Number MAYTAG WASHER....MAV7550AWQ S/# 10198878Z5 After a load I turned the timer to a cycle and it starts washing. After the cycle the machine stops because it finished the cycle. When I opened the lid the wash water is still there. It seems that it by passed the rinse and it didn't drain the water. Is this an indication of a bad timer or a bad circuit board. Please advise. I was told it may be both not intermiate?? Thank you. Answer Hello Art. You will need to check and see if the lid switch WP22003804 is bad on the unit and is preventing the unit from draining and spinning out the water in the unit. It should read closed with the lid closed on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
