Dd for Model Number KEMS307GBS0 The door latch on this Kitchen Aid oven has melted, and I mean melted, for the second time in five years. I think it may have to something to do with the clean cycle. What is causing this? Is there a heat shield that was not installed on the oven? Is there another defective part? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hi DD. The latch part #WP4451424 may be overheating if the oven cooling fan has failed, part # WPW10016550 or it is not running due to bad connections or no voltage feeding it from the main control board part # 8302985. If the cooling fan shrouds are bent or anything not allowing the air to flow from the bottom vent grill (plugged) then this may be the issue. Are the clock led's lighting up ? Thank You. Read More...
