Brad for Model Number mah8700aww I have an Error code on my washer, the error code is OE. When I get this code it is after the wash cycle has completed and it is entering the rinse cycle, the water continues to run and fill up the tub and will not shut off. I was told by Whirlpool that it may be the water level sensor but they did not have the error code OE in there system. If I shut the machine off the water continues to run until I shut the water off, I can then turn the water back on and drain the tub and spin. It does not do this on every wash load, it seems to be about every 3 or 4 loads. I was wondering if changing the pressure sensor would correct this problem.
Answer Hi Brad. The O-E code is a fault is detected in the water level sensor. Water is at the or above the overflow. Use a cold,small fill and advance the unit into rinse so to get rid of the excess soap or lint debris's that may be lingering. This may induce the code also. Supervise this closely and stop the unit as it fills more than the top of the inner tub baffles. The sensor is part # WP34001324. The washer can use washer magic monthly to keep clean.
