Rick for Model Number WF306LAW/XAA Can a faulty pressure switch keep the washer from draining? I verified that the pump functions when 120v are applied and the door switch is working correctly. There are no blockages in the inlet or outlet of the water pump or the the hoses.
Answer Rick, A faulty pressure switch will not keep the drain pump from getting 120 Vac to it. It would keep the drain running if it does not reset due to a clogged hose or something but will not keep it from actually draining. If the unit is not draining then test the pump for 120 Vac getting to it. If there is 120 vac to the pump assembly but not draining then the pump is defective and would need replaced regardless if it runs outside of the unit. Read More...
