Stephen M. for Model Number ghw925omw1 My washer is really smelly. I have done everything to clean it, multiple times. I researched on google, bought used special cleaners, and cleaned the gasket inside and out, thoroughly. I leave the door open when not in use. It will smell ok for a few days then bad again. My next step is to replace the door gasket completely. Is this an appropriate action or would it be a waste of my time and money?
Answer Stephen, "bought and used special cleaners" if you used and followed the instructions, that should have solved the issue. It is possible for the bellows/boot to retain the odor but it should have subsided. You will also want to access and remove the drain pump filter/button catcher and clean it out and replace the bellows. Thanks, Read More...
