Brenda for Model Number MFI2568AES Refrigerator is making ice, when I press to dispense water or ice nothing happens. I was told maybe it’s the dispenser board, but every feature on the front panel work properly… it’s just not dispensing water or ice…. Could it be the board or the flapper issue?
Answer Hello Brenda, thank you for contacting APP, If the unit is not dispensing ice or water the issue could be with the Switch built into the Chute Extension WPW10131128 or the User Interface(UI)/LV Board 67006294. If the unit seems to be operating correctly other than not dispensing ice or water I would suspect that the switch in the Chute Extension has failed. You may be able to narrow this down by calling for ice and water and seeing if the dispenser light comes on, if it does then the UI is seeing that the switch has been closed, but is not communicating that to the HV Control W10890094, which indicates that the UI has failed.
