Jerome K for Model Number Maytag stack MLE2000AYW Today, we replaced the timer. Nothing works any better. The machine will start when you push the start button, but the timer still will not advance,so the machine will stop in a short time. Also, the hot water valve on the machine does not ever close, even with the timer in the off position.
Answer Jerome, Thanks for the additional information. Now we know you have a bad fill valve, the hot water solenoid is stuck open WP22002437. Now that you have a new timer and machine control board. we can be pretty sure you have a loose connection somewhere in the harness connections at the multiplugs on the side of the tub under the panel or at the new control board. The timer and control board are not communicating with each other. You'll need to perform the reccomended checks we previously advised to make. Thanks. Read More...
