David for Model Number JJW9630CAW We have a Jenn-Air JJW9630CAW double wall oven bought in 2003. We have had an issue for years with the doors being hard to get fully closed and the oven light coming on with the door closed. It has gotten worse to the point where the lights won't go out with the doors closed. The doors are actually to the point where they won't fully close now at all. We replaced the hinges. That worked slightly but eventually the doors went back to doing the same thing. I think it might be the receptacles in the body of the units We have read online that others have had this problem. Is there a guide to replacing the part and have you heard feedback that replacing this part might help?
Answer Hello David. Part# WP74008015 is the correct hinge receptacle for your model. To replace, First you'll need to remove the door(per your users manual) dismount the wall oven from the cabinet, and slide the oven out approximately 6 inches. You will see the two(2) 5/16 head screws, that hold the reciever to the oven frame, remove the screws. On the front frame, you'll remove the remaining lower screw,(you already removed the upper screw when you removed the hinge/door assembly. Read More...
