Chad for Model Number ET1MTKXQ01 I received a replacement start device(part number 8201769) for my whirlpool fridge model # et1mtkxq01. The original part # was 2212964. The new kit looks nothing like the original one. How does the new relay hook up to the compressor? The instructions said it was to be used with egy60, egy70, and emu60 compressors only. Mine is an emy 60 hsc. Is this the correct replacement and if so how to install?
Answer Chad, the start device kit 8201769 is correct and the relay for the EMU60 compressor would be used in this case. The red wire would go to the overload, the white wire would go to the bottom left terminal of the relay, and the blue wire would go to the bottom right terminal of the relay. Read More...
