Tony for Model Number IKT196301 I have an Inglis refrigerator, model# IKT196301 with compressor model# EMY 60HSC. I have the kit 8201769. I've read conflicting instructions on here on where to hook up the capacitor. I only have the single connector with the red and white wires. That makes sense to me where they go. But to which terminals do I hook up the start capacitor? And is the capacitor polarity sensitive or does it matter which terminal on the capacitor goes where? Thank-you.
Answer Tony, the capacitor would have to be wired into the circuit using a 14 gauge stranded wire and an insulated terminal. The added wire would go from the capacitor to the right-hand terminal of the relay. The other side of the capacitor would be wired into neutral. The capacitor is not showing as being polar sensitive.
