Brian for Model Number 10653082300 The fridge was running warm and I could hear a click from the compressor. Bought and installed new start relay 8201786. Refrigerator still running warm. Start relay does not have a blue wire, but a capacitor that plugs directly into the relay. Do I also need to buy a new capacitor or could the compressor be shot? I also noticed that the new start relay rattled a bit when I shook it. Could I have gotten a bad relay? Thanks.
Answer Brian, The relay will have a slight rattle to it. If the unit is still clicking after installing the new relay then the issue would not be with the relay and you will want to do an amp draw on the compressor. If the compressor is drawing more than 9 amps when starting then the compressor is locked up and would need to be replaced. Read More...
