Tim for Model Number GARF19XXPK01 I have a gladiator garage refrigerator that was serviced this spring for a failed start relay. The tech installed relay 2188829, subsequently I now have a compressor failure. The unit trips breaker and the compressor is shorted to ground. Could the incorrect relay be the cause of the failure? The correct part number is 2302351. What is the difference between the 2 relays and how could that have been the cause? Hoping to learn something about the relay differences before contacting the service company. Thanks for an unbiased evaluation. Please send reply to tjlmclever@comcast.net Thanks
Answer Tim, There is really no difference in the relays and the relay would not have caused the compressor to short. When the relay initially failed the compressor could have been on its way out. This is most true if the compressor was short cycling. This would just be attributed to a failed compressor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 9, 2014
