Kent for Model Number Kenmore Coldspot 106 I ordered Compressor start kit # AP3885081. After watching a few videos, I notice that some had a capacitor that plugged into the start relay. I do not recall removing it from the old relay when I installed the new start relay that came in the kit. Is there another location that the capacitor may be? Is it part of the start relay? Refrigerator is still not cooling and the compressor can be heard clicking. Thanks
Answer Kent, The capacitor would be in one of 2 places. The first would be mounted to the overload relay assembly. The second would be toward the back of the compressor attached to the base. In most cases the capacitor would not be the cause for the issue and would be a faulty compressor if the relay has been replaced already. Read More...
