Brian B. for Model Number Whirlpool Model Number GD5SHAXKQ00 The unit was working fine until the electricty to the entire house went out for 24 hours. After the electricty came back on the refrigerator and freezer will not cool. The interior lights and fan are working but it does not cool. Could there have been an energy surge that damaged the compressor starter, start relay, and overload device? What else could be wrong? Thanks in advance.
Answer Hello Brian! You will need to test the defrost timer 4388932. You can test this with a multimeter MA-DM1.
