Kim for Model Number KUDP01FLBT1 My kitchenaid dishwasher is working, but the start button gets stuck sometimes. The cover over the top has film broken over a couple of buttons. I have a home warranty and had appliance guy out. He said it needs new start button, and new panel. He is goign to ask home warranty but thinks they will deny because film broken. If they do, and i expect that with warranties, could I repair myself? Would I need control panel or interface? Also I dont see a start switch offered? Thanks!
Answer Hello Kim. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall with the new control panel in reverse order. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 13, 2015
