Andy for Model Number KUDP01FLSS I have two issues (or one). The plastic membrane on our control panel is cracked and deteriorated. I know it needs replacing. But we have also experienced difficulty with the start button. Is it likely we'll need to replace BOTH the panel and the underlying circuit board with the power button on it?
Answer Hi Andy. This is totally up to you. The old saying remains true mostly. If it isn't broken then don't fix it. Yes, agreed the panel replacement is part # WP8531267. Remove the lower kick plate and make sure that the unit is level from side to side and front to back . This will insure door switch alignment so you can see if it will start the board correctly. Usually more times than not the unit not installed properly will ruin door switches and door seals. So, just either buy both initially and replace them one at a time. Then if you do not need the user interface board part # WP8531262, you can send it back. This way you have it along in case you do. Thank You. Read More...
