Tom K. for Model Number MDB 6100/MDB 6160 The controls are locked out. Pressing the 3 second button will turn the 3 second light on and off, but the cycle lights still blinks the 5 times it says in the manual when the controls are locked out. Is this a control panel issue? Thanks.
Answer Hello Tom, This can be an issue with either the control board or the control panel. The first thing I recommend is to remove the ribbon cable and check for signs of moisture damage. If moisture damage is present, the control board and panel will have to be replaced along with the seal around the vent. If the ribbon cable is dis-colored, it can be cleaned by rubbing it toward the end only in the direction of the traces with a pencil eraser.
