Hello Jonathan, The control replacement is not hard at all. The most important thing to remember is to turn off the power. After you remove the door liner, the rest is really simple. If you're worried about crossing wires, simply remove them one at a time and put them onto the new board before removing the next wire. I do recommend wearing gloves as you will get cut the worst when your not expecting it. Some of the edges are really sharp inside the unit.
