David for Model Number GEW9250PW1 Hi, my dryer works intermittently. When it runs everything works well, temp is fine, cycles work, etc. When it stops working there is a dim light on the "timed dry" and "causal" lights around the dial, but otherwise the control panel does not work. It will sometimes reset if I unplug the machine or if I do the more dry/less by code check. I replaced the door switch and the thermal fuse since I already had the front off the machine. I was thinking this sounded like a bad board, but wanted some help troubleshooting it. Thanks
Answer David, You're pretty much on target, the problem is most likely in the user interface control board WP8558753 in order to test the function of the buttons and rotary cycle selector, you will need to retrieve the tech data sheet from inside the cabinet and refer to page six(6) of the tech information.
