Frank G for Model Number JES9750AAB Six months ago I had a tech come out to look at my stove because when my wife made a cake it looked good when it came out of the oven. After sitting to cool down the cake flopped and was raw in the center. I had a tech. Come out he said that the door hinges and the door gasket needed to be replaced, which I did. About six months ago I replaced the temp. Sensor. Everything seams to work fine except the cakes still flop. Do you thing the sensor or the controller are bad?
Answer Hello Frank. It sounds more like the control since the sensor is new. Test the temp inside the oven. Add the top and bottom numbers of the temp inside the oven by monitoring it for 10 minutes after preheat. Add those and divide by 2 and it should be close to the setting on the control. If not, the board is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
