Jim C. for Model Number Jenn-Air JES9760

Broiler will not turn off. I removed the element, taped up the element wiring to use the stove top. This has happened before and I tripped the breaker for around 30 min and the stove was operating normal and lasted for a few months but this time I had to remove the boiler element. We live less than a mile from the ocean in Florida and within the blogs posted I noticed that corrosion in the connectors could have something to do with this problem. Any Ideas?

Answer

Hello Jim, This is most likely a sticking relay on the control board/clock. For a more detailed diagnosis, please re-post with the model number and the first two characters of the serial number from the units' I.D. tag. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
