Manufacturer Part Number: WPW10384846

This electronic board regulates power and speed to the washer's drive motor, working with the main control to coordinate agitation and spin. Replacing a failed motor control unit restores consistent drum movement and resolves no-spin or no-agitate issues. What it does:

  • Governs motor start, direction, and variable speed during wash and spin
  • Common failure symptoms: won't spin or agitate; starts then stops; intermittent or slow rotation
  • Visible burn marks, odor, or damaged components on the board
  • Verify power, wiring, and motor condition before condemning the board
What's included:
  • One motor control board
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and turn off water before service; allow components to discharge
  • Use ESD precautions and handle the board by its edges
  • Access location varies by model; photograph connectors and transfer them one at a time
  • Inspect the drive motor, wiring harness, and drive components for shorts before powering up; run diagnostics after installation
