Denver April 20, 2022 for Model Number MHWE500VP01 MAYTAG F25 code error what does this mean and how I resolve the issue? Model MHWE500VP01
1 Answer Denver, The F25 error code on this mode is a drive motor tachometer error. This information on testing can be located on your tech sheet inside the unit. If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the washer shuts down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 minutes. Possible Causes/Procedure Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check the drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115O between motor connections (see pg. 13 motor connection diagram). Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). Plug in washer or reconnect power. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. Check the drive motor for powered rotations Read More...
1 Answer Pedro, "F 70 COMMUNICATION FAILURE BETWEEN CCU AND UIC Communication between Central Control Unit (CCU) and User Interface Control (UIC) has failed. Possible Causes – Electrical connection between CCU and UIC is damaged. Procedure; 1. Clear error code. 2. Unplug the washer or disconnect power. 3. Verify that the communication cable is connected in the lower connector of the UIC. 4. Verify continuity in the cable between the CCU and the UIC. If, after these procedures, the continuity test fails, replace the communication cable. If F70 is still present, replace the UI control." Read More...
Ricardo March 15, 2017 for Model Number WFW9550WL00 I am getting error code F71 and the manual lists multiple things that can be wrong. I have read that 99% of the time the F71 code on these front load washers is the MCU? Suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Ricardo, This can be caused by a loose electrical connection between the user interface and the CCU W10282179. 1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness. 2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit. 3. If the drum is not rotating, unplug the MCU from the CCU (the MI3 or M13 connector). If the code goes away, then replace the MCU WPW10420115. If the code does not go away, replace the CCU. 4. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating. I'm sorry but this part WPW10420115 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. 1 Answer Hello Ken. Indicated during Diagnostic Test only. During the start of a cycle, the appliance goes to pause mode. A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code. Possible Causes/Procedure ¦ Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door. ¦ Door switch/lock unit failure. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check door switch/lock unit. 3. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU). Read More...

Nick November 03, 2014 for Model Number WFW9700VW01 F11 error code. Last week, the washer leaked water and we identified a hole in bellow to be the cause of it. I replaced the bellow and tried to ran a cycle and it started to give me F11 error code. I ran a diagnostic test which points to either MCU or motor to be the problem since the washer did not go into the spin cycle. Do you think by replacing the MCU, the problem will be corrected? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Nick, F11 is a MOTOR CONTROL UNIT ERROR as per the tech sheet. The Motor Control Unit has internal failure, repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. Can also be caused by a momentary loss of neutral feed to the MCU during the spin cycle. If failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 minutes. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). Check the motor and do a continuity test. 3. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 4. Run a Diagnostic Test and run the motor. If it does not run, replace the MCU board. Read More...
Tim M February 27, 2014 for Model Number WFW9450WW00 Does this price, like it is elsewhere, include a $50 core charge that will be refunded when I return the old one?
1 Answer Hello Mike. The communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and theMotor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). – Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. – Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. 3. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. 4. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle. 7. Check door switch system. The door switch may cause interference for the power supply of the MCU. Read More...
