Jerry T. for Model Number WFE710H0AS0 My range has been recently giving me problems with keeping its oven temp. It says it heats up to 400, but then it shuts off and lowers the temperature to between 100-180 and stays there. It still shows 400 unless I restart the pre-heat cycle. When restarted it shows the lower temp, but does not turn back on to reach the 400 mark. I originally had a different issue in that the broiler stayed on constantly during the bake cycle. I know that requires a control board replacement, but as I could not afford it then, I just unplugged the broiler element and continued using the stove. I saw another person had the same temp issue on the site, but hers was a gas stove and you claimed the ignition was the issue. Since mine is electric, what may be the cause?
Answer Jerry, It would be recommended to test the oven sensor for a resistance of 1090 ohms and if the resistance checks ok then the issue will be the control board that is faulty. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 11, 2017
