While the back panel is expected to get fairly warm from the heat vent routing through the back, if the heat is spreading to the top and side panels there could be an air leak allowing heat to escape into the cabin of the dryer. Inspecting parts such as the drum seal 280114 and the blower housing seal W11596046 for indications of failure would be recommended.
