Cliff for Model Number KUDS01DLSS1 Hello. My dishwasher runs fine but as soon as the timer gets to 42 min it takes more than an hour to start counting down to zero. I have even run the sink water first before starting a wash cycle. When I open it at the 42 min. time the water is warm not hot, The front panel lights that are on are sensing soak and water heater. Once the time starts again the unit goes to the end with no problems. I have had this problem for three years now. It also seems that the dry cycle is too short or not enough heat, some items (mosly plastic) are not dry. I don't know if it is a thermostat or heater or main board. Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
Answer Hello Cliff. You will need to check and see if there is power coming to the heater from the control board. If not, you will need to order the heater and control board kit 8194200. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
