Robin V for Model Number KUDI01TJWH1 My Kitchenaid dishwasher will not start. The lights all work but unit won't start when button is pushed. You can hear/feel the button pushing, but nothing happens. The dishwasher is about 9 years old. Is it the control panel or the board that needs to be replaced or would it be better to replace the dishwasher due to the age?
Answer Robin, With all the lights working, we can presume the door switches and thermal fuse are OK. That leaves the keypad assembly WP8270224 or control board WP8564543, and most likely the keypad " WON’T RUN OR POWER UP - No operation - No keypad response - No LEDs or display > Loose connections in dishwasher power up circuit or between keypad(s) and control. > Check resistance of all connections in power up circuit to control. Check connections between keypad(s) and control. " Thanks Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, August 28, 2012
