Dave for Model Number maytag quiet 100 dishwasher The dishwasher will not spray or wash dishes. I cleaned the machine, checked for water flow and checked if motor spins by hand which it doe's. The heating element is on during washing or at least it appears to be because the water is very hot. what would be the problem, control board?
Answer Dave, Does the dishwasher fill to the proper level, water level should touch the bottom of the heating element or higher if proper. Can you hear the pump motor running ? If the motor is not running then it could be a control board or motor issue. If the motor is running, then you'll need to dismantle the assembly and check for clogs in the pump, or damaged impeller(s) that won't allow the pump to pressurize and move the water.
