Dave Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Model#: DU1100XTPSA Problem: dishwasher drains prematurely. During 'normal wash' or 'rinse only', unit will start normally (water fills, then begins wash cycle), but after several minutes, it drains pumping water to the sink while still throwing water around in the tub until it is dry. But the wash pump is still humming as if 'thinks' the tub is still full of water. I can stop the cycle at that point, fill it with water, and upon closing the door, it runs normally for a while, then the early draining occurs again. Float switch seems to operate normally. Lifts smoothly and I can hear the switch click. I tried the 'hard reset' recommended by WP by shutting off breaker for 60 sec - no effect. Unfortunately, I replaced the control panel (WPW10084141), but still drains early. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Dave
Answer Dave, Disconnect power from the drain motor and start another load it sounds like you have a siphon effect going on. Make sure you have an air gap in the drain before it connects to the sink. Electrically the control you replaced would have solved the issue if the drain and motor were running at the same time. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 5, 2018
