David T. for Model Number KUDK02CRBS1 First, my dishwasher started stopping in the middle of cycles, and sometimes the lights on the control panel would blink rapidly (no pattern). When this happened, I couldn't even get a cycle to start again. I changed out the control board, it worked fine for 2 days, and then the problems started up again. I'm thinking it's the control panel at this point, but I haven't been able to run the diagnostic to test it since I don't know where the thermistor is (I think I'm supposed to plug/unplug it twice). Is it accessible from the front (toeplate area) or do I have to take the whole dishwasher out to get to it? Thanks!
Answer Hello David, The thermistor is accessible from the front when the kick panel is removed. From what your describing, I would check the polarity of the wiring as the polarity is very important to the electronic control. Also check that the wire nuts are tight and haven't been getting hot. I know this is aggravating but you should check the gauge of the wiring to the unit. Minimum gauge is 14/2 with a ground. The only reason I mention this is that I have seen the same situation several times and these are issues that I found to be at fault. Let me know if I can assist you further. Read More...
