Daniel for Model Number gu2275xtvy0 I am having a problem where the wash pump does not come on during the wash cycle. I bought a new pump assuming the old pump had gone bad. The new pump does the same thing. Dishwasher fills with water. If I press cancel, it drains. However, the circulation pump does not come on at any point. I accessed the control board and was measuring voltages at different pins. During the wash cycle P8 and P9 both have 120V. This should indicate that the K1 relay is working. P5 also has 120V. As expected, if I trip the door switch, the power is lost. If the wash pump is not the problem, what else could it be. I seem to have power to the motor. I notice in the service manual that there is a 0.45ohm "sense resistor" connected from P5 to P7 (Neutral). What is this and where is this?
Answer Daniel, There is power from the control board but that does not necessarily mean the pump is getting power to it. If you test at the wash motor, check for 120 Vac at this point. If there is not power then you will have a wiring issue. If there is power then you may have received a faulty motor because if there is power to the part but it is not working then the part is bad.
