Clinton for Model Number mdbh949aws1 My dishwasher will not turn on. None of the bbuttons, start, stop, or wash cycles will come on. There is power, since the heater and some of the other buttons will light up. What else can I check and do I need a special meter to check it with?
Answer Clinton, It sounds like the fault is in the key pad assembly W10810104 "PROBLEM: One or More Keys Won’t Respond - Open key or LED circuit(s) on the keypad, or open circuits on the control to the keys and LEDs. - Door switch not making contact: Faulty or sloppy door latch assembly (which can be aggravated by high door closure force). Faulty door switch (high resistance). Faulty control does not detect door closed." If you decide to circuit test the key pad circuits, you will need a multi meter TJMA-DM1 and you'll need to use the wiring diagram / tech data sheet, attached to the back side of the kickplate to test the circuits properly.
