James Stevens for Model Number LDG713 The original drum support rollers used a wave washer and one fiber washer. All the replacements I've seen use two fiber washers. Was this a change made by Maytag? Also, my rollers don't wear out, they fail as in the rubber tire breaks into pieces, is this common? Last question - Does anyone make a compatible drum roller with an actual roller bearing in place of the sleeve bearing?
Answer James, There is not a bearing washer as opposed to the sleeve washer. For the cause of the roller coming apart, check for damage to the drum in which the drum may have a ridged area that is cutting into the roller.
