Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Dryer Drum Support Roller (Part Number: OEM12025611)

1 Answer

Hello Anthony, no grease is used as it would only collect dust/lint, the drum rollers actually have oil-impregnated bushings that self lube as the roller turns.

David, The sintered bearing is pretty much "centerred" in the drum roller, as long as you follow the instructions and or view the video attached to the part order screen, you wont have any issues. You may want to use a dry clean rag and wipe off any dust and debris in the area as well as the drum roller shaft while you have the rollers removed, then install the new drum rollers.

Bob, Drum rollers could have come loose or front support damaged. You would have to open it up to really know the cause of this.

Debibie Ash for Model Number LDE7600ACW

We replaced the drum support rollers in Feb of 2018, the dryer always seemed to still make a noise, recently it started getting worse so took it apart and found one of the drum support rollers totally worn. We replaced that today and it still makes a noise, the only way I know how to describe the noise is it is sort of like when you put cardboard on your bicycle spokes and they make noise.(I hope that makes sense or you know what I am referring to). It could also be referred to as a vibrating noise, like something is sitting on the dryer and vibrating. In feb 2018 we also replaced the idler pulley wheel, in Dec 2017 the tumbler bearing kit and in July 2017 the blower wheel was replaced. What could be causing this noise? We can't seem to pinpoint it.

Debbie Ash, it sounds like there is something caught in the blower wheel. Take the front off and access the blower wheel, see if there is something in there or if there is a lot of lint in the fins of the wheel. (Good description of the noise you are hearing, I knew exactly what you meant)

Emmanuel, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the blower wheel and check the rollers on the unit as these would be the most likely cause for this issue.

Tracy, If your unit has rollers on it you will want to check the rollers, also check the blower wheel to make sure that it does not have any thing caught in it.
