Dennis N for Model Number MED5870TW My 2007 model Maytag electric dryer makes a thumping noise when rotating, especially when there is a very light load. Do I need rollers, or a new drum? What is the # for a drum replacement? Am I better off just buying a new one?
Answer Hello Dennis, Based on the information it sounds like the rollers would more than likely be the issue. You will want to pull the drum and inspect the rollers and see if there is a flat spot on them.
