Bruce for Model Number GU980SCGQ2 How do I determine which part is the problem between the Electronic Control Assembly AP3175633 and the Control Panel Assembly AP3136031. It seems to be variable but only the China cycle starts and the Cancel does not work. Is it possible to repair the Control Panel Assembly if that is the problem? Thanks Bruce
Answer Hi Bruce. You need to check the ribbon cable going from the control panel to the control board. With all the symptoms you have described if you isolate between the 2 and use an ohm meter on the ribbon cable to press the command and see if you have ohms.
