Wayne H for Model Number 66515979992 I purchased control panel AP3175633 but the problem stil hasn't changed. The buttons on the control panel are dim. The buttons are normal wash, heating, rinsing, drying, and lock. The motor for the drain cycle works and will drain the washer. I was told the control panel is bad. The model # is 66515979992 and the serial # is FJ4705251. What could the problem be if the new control board didn't help?
Answer Wayne, The "LED" button lights on the panel are part of the control panel WP9744497, not the control board WP8530929, as long as you have 110-120 VAC, into the control board, then the issue is, a loose connection on the "ribbon" between the control board and the control panel, or the LED circuit is failing in the control panel.
