Andrew for Model Number 665.17779990 My Kenmore 665.17779990 dishwasher would not respond to function keys & the lock light was blinking i'd press cancle & they would both flash & no response of funstion keys.I tried the reset routine, no avail. So i orded the control board (8530929) & installed it no problem. The dishwasher will now function. The Problem now is that ONE of the keys will not respond (pots & pans button) i checked connections. nothing, and the the thing is pots pans function used to start when you just pressed rhe start button alone, but now when you press the start button it runs the normal wash cycle. it's like the board will not reconize pots & pans function now when it used to default to it when you pressed start. evrything else works fine but i am wondering if i got a incomplete program on board? or if i need to swap it out again?
Answer Andrew, The issue in the control panel/keypad assembly WP3384340, based on your post information. You will need to re set the control board, after you replace the assembly ( Pressing the following option keys in the sequence shown will either start the Diagnostics Cycle or turn on the Rapid Advance feature for customer selectable cycles: HI TEMP WASH, AIR DRY, HI TEMP WASH, AIR DRY or POWER SCOUR, AIR DRY, POWER SCOUR, AIR DRY ) Allow the control to cycle through the diagnostics until it is complete and shuts off.
