Bob for Model Number YKESC308LS0 We turned our Kitchenaid Superba on this morning an noticed that it took forever for the temperature to rise. I have checked the broiler element and it was cold and the bake element was not very warm either. Do these elements work together on the bake cycle? What are the possible reasons for this happening. Is it a simple as replacing the broiler element or more complicated. What would be the steps to take to fix our problem?
Answer Hello Bob. You need to test the element and make sure it reads closed for continuity. Both the bake and broil. If the elements are good, test and see if there is 240 volts coming to the unit. If so, test and see if the clock relay is sending power to the element. If no replace the clock in the unit. You can test all of this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
