Larene for Model Number whirlpool oven xfg374lvq0 I have had this oven for five years but it is in a second home and hasn't been used often. Several times I have been baking and the oven turns off then I can't reignite it. We unplugged it for a while, plugged it back in and the next morning the broiler worked but not the oven. Now the middle burner will ignite but nothing else. Seems to be intermittent. My husband found a red igniter wire had been pinched under the frame so that is concerning. We are thinking it could perhaps be the switch igniter circuit board, part # 9758080. It is expensive so we would like your opinion before ordering. I can't find a part number for the single red wire running from the circuit board to the oven igniter.
Answer LaRene, If the unit is not sparking then it could be a bad spark module or could be a bad oven safety valve. You can test the safety valve for 216 ohms of resistance and if the top can be light by a match then the most likely cause will be the spark module WPW10331686. For the wire that runs to the oven igniters the part number would be WPW10701462 Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 17, 2016
