Mike for Model Number KUIS155HBL3 My stand alone ice maker is working great, except that it will not stop producing ice. It just keeps running until you switch it to "off". I pulled the bin thermostat and the ice control thermistor, and tested each with a meter. Both seemed to be working fine with resistance ratings varying based on temperature, and in the range of resistance values found on other posts. Should I try replacing these two (less expensive) parts anyway? Is there any other wiring (such as between the thermistor plus and the board) that I should check? If not, should I assume I have a bad control board? Thanks.
Answer Hello Mike. Usually in most cases, it is the bin thermistor. However, if it is testing good, you may need to replace the board in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 16, 2014
