Curt for Model Number KUIA18PNLS4 Hi...me again. I pulled the unit out of the cabinet and just for grins reconnected the water supply, drain and power. The unit made ice and stayed completely full for two days. It today reverted back to not making ice. Now that I have it out of the cabinet and can see and hear what is happening, I have determined that the water is flowing over the plate. It is the compressor/overload switch that is clicking on and off. Turned it off and back on...it went right back to work...water flowing over a very cold plate. Also....how hot should the compressor get? Using an IR thermometer it was around 135 degrees when running. Thoughts?
Answer Hello Curt. Check and see if the condenser fan motor is running and if the coils are clean. If so, it sounds like the compressor W10823815 may be bad on the unit. If it is building up pressure and won't restart the compressor is bad. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, August 23, 2011
