Rob for Model Number GI1500XHB0 Going crazy trying to fix my Whirlpool icemaker. Sears came and charged 5x what it costs for a pump, I've then replaced the water valve, still having problems. Works great for a bit, then stops making ice and just makes a cycling sound. If I put water in the lower bowl, it makes ice, but then goes back to cycling. Having replaced both the pump and the valve, guessing its the control board. Just ordered that part. Not sure how to get to the board to replace. Welcome any direction. Thanks!
Answer Hello Rob. You will need to remove the outer cover off the icemaker to replace the control board WP2304016 in the unit. Once removed, you can access and replace the control board. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 28, 2011
