Hello Mike. Remove the toe panel off the bottom of the dishwasher. Then use a meter and test the element. It should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, you will unplug the wires and remove the nut off the bottom of the heater. Open the door and remove the lower rack assembly and replace the heater WPW10082892. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
