Brian for Model Number 91195482990 My maytag oven bake element popped, flashed, and broke during operation I do not see any that look like the one in my oven on your display. Did it just wear out and break, is it saft to replace ? Is it easy to replace ? Thanks B.T.
Answer Hi Brian All elements when off has standing power on them so disconnect the power. Then remove the door and storage drawer. Then you remove the racks. Remove the element mount bolts. Then pull out the unit. Then remove the back cover. Remove the element wire connectors. Then go to the front and pull out the old element. Then slide in the new one. Bolt it ion place. Go to the back and re-pack the insulation back around the element terminal studs as they pass to the back of the unit. This will allow the heat to stay inside the cavity and not burn out wires or conectors in the near future. This failure is a common one for elements. Reassemble in reverse. Part # WPW10276482.
