The Oven Bake Element is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This part provides consistent and even heating for baking. This element is located at the bottom of the oven cavity and is responsible for the majority of the cooking and baking processes within the oven.

Hi Brian All elements when off has standing power on them so disconnect the power. Then remove the door and storage drawer. Then you remove the racks. Remove the element mount bolts. Then pull out the unit. Then remove the back cover. Remove the element wire connectors. Then go to the front and pull out the old element. Then slide in the new one. Bolt it ion place. Go to the back and re-pack the insulation back around the element terminal studs as they pass to the back of the unit. This will allow the heat to stay inside the cavity and not burn out wires or conectors in the near future. This failure is a common one for elements. Reassemble in reverse. Part # WPW10276482.
